Hello, I am pleased to share with you that 2016 is here and Wings of Faith is privileged to be very actively engaged in serving our Lord. As we look forward to the challenges that lay ahead we faithfully seek God’s direction. And, importantly, we reach out to you prayerfully for continued support.
The needs of those we help are many. Currently we are serving 27 different reservations in the Southwestern United States. Our Native American brothers and sisters suffer from a lack of healthy food, proper clothing for the hot summers and harsh winters, and continued spiritual nourishment. Emergencies are a reality. In the winter, lack of readily available wood, coal, and propane fuels to supply minimal heat to their meager dwellings is in short supply. For many these essentials cannot be afforded.
Wings of Faith, with the Lord’s guidance and your prayers and support, will continue to answer the distress calls from the reservations. Donations in our warehouses are being prepared for shipment in record amounts. Clothing, shoes, food, Bibles, and much more are being readied. Pilots are prepared, trucks are in support, and with God’s blessings, we will be on the move.
Our January Breakfast held at Marie Callender’s in Corona, was heavily attended by members and guests. It was a blessing to have two guests from the field speak at the breakfast. Genevieve Skidmore is the Executive Director of the N.A.O.M.I. House in Joseph City, AZ. It is a non-denominational Christian ministry that provides a safe and loving home for Native American Children. We also hosted Davidson Davis Ministry in Lukachukai, AZ. Both ministries shared about their outreach and how God’s love and hand is upon their efforts to provide essential help to those who face tremendous challenges on a daily basis.
The gathering prayed for Davidson’s family, who lost his sister to a tragic car accident while he was in Corona. She has gone home to be with the Lord. Please continue to keep them in prayer.
Blessings on you and yours in 2016!
