Hi Everyone,
Hope all of you are doing well!
Just wanted to take some time and thank everyone for the help you have given over the last almost 10 years! Because of you, we are able to continue to make smiles!
We just completed our Open House and celebrated giving away toy 250,000! The 250,000 toy will be delivered to Ganahl Lumber in Anaheim, CA. They supply us with 95% of the scrap wood used to make our toys.
As we move forward, our short term goal is to find a shop manager for Toys 4 Smiles. This will not only ease the workload on me, but more importantly help assure that Toys 4 Smiles will continue on, even after I am gone. This needs to happen by the end of the year.
Long term, we are looking for someone or some group to get us a permeant home to make toys and smiles! We would like to have this in place by June of 2018. I feel by then, we will have earned a place to call home for our volunteers and kids! :)
Enjoy the picture revue of our open house and thanks to all of you!
You can get anything you want out of life, if you help enough other people get what they want!
See you down the road!
Blessings,
Rex Doty

Toys 4 Smiles - Gave Away 250,000 Smiles
A great crowd attended our Open House Celebration of making and giving away 250,000 toys on April 28, 2016.
More than 50 items had been donated to be raffled off and bid on through a silent auction. A big thank you goes out to all those donors for their generosity & support of Toys 4 Smiles.
Here are some photos taken that evening.
Guests were welcomed by Toys 4 Smiles ladies, given name badges, and got their numbers for the silent auction & raffle tickets.
Guests then had a chance to review the silent auction
& raffle items available. Guests then reviewed the operations with volunteers
from Toys 4 Smiles. Rex Doty had a chance to talk to friends of Toys 4 Smiles
who were there to support ad share Toys 4 Smiles success.
Then guests were seen making a last pass by the raffle &
silent auction tables before the drawings were made. Rex Doty then thanked the guests for sharing this important milestone - 250,000 toys manufactured & given to children in need of a smile.
Drawings were made for raffle items,
and highest bidders were identified. Winners did not need to be present & would be contacted if they won.
Here a couple of the lucky winners have their picture taken with Rex Doty, founder & president of Toys 4 Smiles.
