Jim Yost and Mitch Pruitt each flew to meet with Daphne Hill-Poolaw in Parker, Ariz. in mid-February and delivered Van’s shoes and Stussy clothing, socks, blankets, Sunday School books and materials, rubber balls imprinted with Bible verses (and a pump to keep them aired up), and some Bibles.
From Parker, they flew to Lake Havasu, where one of our wonderful volunteers, Lynne Barnes, provided a variety of clean, lightly-used clothing, which we will deliver to Fresno, San Carlos, Ariz. and Mexico.
At the end of February, Serve-One, a ministry based in Perris, Calif. devoted to helping the hungry and homeless, invited us to join them for a day of picking oranges from a large orchard. Tom Leedom and Jim Yost got their share of Vitamin C by osmosis as they picked 1,000 pounds of fruit! We were able to deliver that sweet blessing along with winter clothing, food, Sunday School materials, Bibles, books and other aid to Reservations in Big Pine and Bishop, Calif., and to San Carlos, Cibecue, Show Low and Whiteriver, Ariz., among several others.
Our thanks to Giving Children Hope and Serve-One for their support in providing food!
You can share in this ministry, too. Please prayerfully consider a gift of any amount to help pay for fuel. Our volunteer pilots and drivers often pay for gas out of their own pockets. We would be honored to have you join us in the work of this ministry!
