It is that time of year again, where Wings of Faith reaches out to help Native American Indian children as they start their next school year. If you’re not aware, a lot of the reservations we serve are suffering in poverty conditions. Our goal is to help out these children, so that they have a chance to build their educational background for their futures. Many children are far behind due to Covid restrictions.
We have been working with ‘Native American Emergency Relief’ ministry the past several years to come together and double-team this effort. This partnership has been working great and many children and adults have been able to benefit from this collaboration.
We ask that you prayerfully consider assisting us in this endeavor and play a part in these children’s lives. The only way we can do this each and every year is with the assistance of people like you who assist us with school supplies and with finances. A lot of the items we hand out are donated and then the others we have to purchase ourselves. We end up procuring a lot of the items from discount stores during this project. We also use funds to rent trucks, purchase fuel for aircraft/trucks and to assist with other expenses of our volunteers.
Because of the circumstances of where we grew up and our financial background being different, a lot of us have likely taken our educational background for granted. These kids are in different circumstances than the majority of us and we feel personally the need to do something to help out. This is why many of us wanted to get involved with Wings of Faith to do our part to help. It takes the body of Christ to come together to help those in need around the world.
