Most kids have not finished their school year so it may seem odd to talk about "Back to School." For Native American youngsters who live on and attend school on Reservation land, their school year begins in July - just 10 weeks from now!
With your support, we are able to deliver critical school supplies (and many other basic necessities while we're at it!) from May through June in preparation for the next school bell. We are advancing our schedule this year due to planned maintenance at the Holbrook, AZ, airport, where our Eastern operations occur.
We need $15,000 to make these distributions happen! Will you please help with a donation of any amount? Every $7 provides school essentials for one child, delivered, with clothing and other essential items.
Help Educate the Next Generation So They Can Learn to Read the Bible!
Did you know that on average, American Indian 4th graders score 19 points lower in reading than non-Native students? A lack of proficiency in reading is a clear danger sign for all aspects of academic achievement. Families in economically disadvantaged Native American Reservations often have to choose between buying food or school supplies. Can you imagine having to make that choice?!
We have been blessed with the ability to help minister to families in need, opening the door for hearts to hear the Gospel. But we need your help to support youngsters in the most impoverished tribes get off to a good start in July with the basic materials that will help them learn, especially in their reading skills. The ability to read the Word of God will go far in their lives and your support will make a difference for eternity!
We appreciate donations of products(pencils, pens, crayons, etc) or finances designated for the School Supply Drive and we will do the shopping for you! A donation for fuel expenses to transport the supplies would also be a wonderful blessing.
Thank you for your investment in the lives of these children. Not only will it help them, but also their communities as they grow into the next generation of leaders. Who knows, some may even become pastors and teachers!
Many thanks and God bless you!
